To Park View Little League World Champions

Why are so many people that you don't know so excited for you? Yes, we appreciate that you made history as true "World" Champions, something even Major league Baseball, Pro Football or Basketball can't claim. You won something equivalent to the Olympics on the world stage.

But aside from that, think on these things. I'm a typical 60 yr. old grandpa who played baseball in the streets, fields and parks as soon as I could hold a ball. The Little League fields I played on in Lemon Grove are still there. I played on All-Stars just like you, coached All-Star teams like yours and experienced the thrill of advancing from Area to District and so on, like you did. The difference is you continued to win and we didn't.

One reason so many people are so happy for you is that we were able to be with you in the batters box or on the field and share the experience with you. Many people remember being a part of a team sport where so many things have to go right to make it to the top. As for me, I was able to be a part of your hit that scored a run or make the right coaching decision that may have won the game.

I hope you all take time to thank God for allowing you to be part of this incredible experience and that baseball fans everywhere could share it with you. Thanks for the memories.

We sold a dream!

Patti-
I love you!!!!
The buyers and I met for about an hour tonight. It was a meeting to show them how things work (how to use the oven, what sprinkler controls go to what, how often to water, etc.).
What ended up telling me felt so good. They were looking for a 1960s-1980s single floor ranch house. They are also junkies of the HG TV make-over shows. They said they walked into this house and immediately knew it was the one. It had the look they wanted, and they loved the paint colors, flooring and fixtures. They loved the staging. This is something we both accomplished together. You and I had and instant rapport on what to do to make this house sell.
When Rex and Rina left I got a big bear hug from both of them. I feel that we didn't just sell a house, we sold a dream. How much better can it get?

Buyers Market

We've been enjoying a roller coaster real estate market. It is certainly a time for buyers. The median price home is more affordable. It has dropped by 25.6%. That is $364,000 - an astonishing figure. This represents the largest one month decline in 20 years. The short sale & repos are still the favorite commodity. However, I have noticed an upsurge in interest in properties listed by "traditional sellers", because some people don't like the volatility of the short sales & repos. The future is looking brighter. Sales were up 11.5% from June & 10.5% higher than a year ago. Great programs with either 3% or 5% down are really fueling the market. Finally if anyone needs help with short sales or lowering their property tax email us @ patti@mckelveyrealty.com or call us @ 619-409-8505.
